Understanding our client: specifics, challenges, and custom solutions

The client is a Latvia-based company specializing in multilingual content and translation solutions. Its work involves helping businesses and individual users manage translation needs across different content types, languages, and document workflows.

Problem

The client needed more than a basic translation interface. The product had to support document translation workflows across different user roles, subscription levels, file limits, and account-based access rules.
The main challenge was to connect translation processing with the surrounding product logic: user access, paid usage, project organization, translation history, and terminology resources. Without a structured platform foundation, these workflows would be difficult to manage consistently across different customer accounts and usage scenarios.

Solution

A custom AI translation platform was developed around document workflows, account-based access, and subscription-controlled usage. The platform was structured to support text and file translation, organized translation history, project-based workspaces, and role-based access for customers, invited users, and administrators.
The document workflow included file-based processing, PDF handling, source and target language selection, downloadable results, and structured records for each translated file. Translation Memory and Term Base resources were added at the project level to support terminology-aware workflows when these resources were available.
The product also included operational logic around the translation service: Stripe-based subscription and payment flows, plan-based word and file limits, Google sign-in, user and admin management, and usage visibility across customer accounts. The product logic was organized across document workflows, account access, subscription controls, and project-based content management.

    Google sign-in was implemented to support registration and authorization through an external identity provider. The authentication flow is connected to the platform’s internal user account structure.
    This keeps account access aligned with customer accounts, invited users, and subscription-controlled platform permissions.

    The translation history gives users a structured workspace for managing translated content, including file details, language pairs, translation status, project association, download links, and Translation Memory or Term Base indicators.
